The Indian Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is one of the banking sectors which conducts the recruitment drive every year to recruit candidates for various posts like Probationary officer (PO), Clerk, Specialist Officer (SO), and many more. Every year Institute of Banking Personnel Selection holds the IBPS clerical cadre in multiple Public Sector banks.

 IBPS started Common Written Examination (CWE) in the year 2011 to recruit officers and clerks in Public Sector Banks. It accepts online application through its official website for registration of the examination.

 IBPS Clerk is one of the most sought-after jobs in India. It is a great entry-level job for those who want to work in the banking sector. There are lots of perks, benefits, and opportunities for career growth in this job.

The Preliminary paper has only three that is Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. Every section (except English Language) in the paper is available in Hindi as well as in English.

  • The total duration of the exam will be 1 hour.
  • Paper will be held online.
  • There will be 100 questions of 100 marks in the question paper.
  • All the questions will be multiple choice in nature.
  • The question paper will be both i.e. Hindi and English language .
  • Each question will carry 1 mark and every correct response will be awarded by 1 mark.
  • There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong attempt.

  • The Main exam duration will be 2 hours 15 minutes.
  • The main exam is also an online exam.

  • Negative marking is applicable and the penalty of -0.25 marks will be imposed on each wrong attempt.

Educational Qualification:

Graduation Degree from a University recognized by the Government of India. 

Candidates should have a valid Mark-sheet / Degree:

Certificate which supports that they are graduates on the day they were registered for the exam.

Computer Literacy:

Knowledge of computer operation is a must as IBPS Clerk exam is conducted online.

Language Proficiency:

Candidates should have verbal and written proficiency in official language of the State/UT. The candidate should be able to read, write and speak the language.

Age Eligibility : 

Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years
